being access to the town of Uturoa, and all the businesses and energy that exists
there. The other reason is that Raiatea is the center for nearly all boating

IS THE MARINA USED BY ALL VESSELS NEEDING REPAIRS OR SERVICES!
A large, public marina on the northwest side of Raiatea, used mostly for
people on extended stays in the area.
(yes, those nasty repairs and services will keep your boat out of the water...)
This marina is the home of 4 companies servicing the marine industry.
